About the serie
On Living is a short animation of a poem by late activist-poet, Khet Thi. The poem being animated is a poetic expression on living during these times of revolution against oppression. It carries a tone of courage and hope, yet also a tone of grief. The poetic verses will be visualised through hand-drawn animation and text, and sound design includes the poem being read aloud and background ambient sounds to accompany it. Animation is one with Myanmar text and another with English text.

Pine is an interdisciplinary media designer from Myanmar with a love for media art and storytelling that seeks to wonder, inform, heal or advocate. The work proposed explores the theme of resilience, hope, and grief in times of the revolution, using hand-drawn animation to evoke emotional depth, humanness, and connection.
