LWE's Serie

All are small pieces of cloth from the mast. Some come from the head. Some come from the feet. Some are from the factory, some are self-woven. Some have holes, some have scars, some have wounds. They are gathering together on a long journey and encountering a strong wind storm. To face this, they gather small pieces of cloth and make a colorful sail to overcome the storm and reach their destination. A single piece of cloth cannot withstand the wind, but many pieces can not only withstand the wind, but also control the wind. In this artwork, the clothes are connected by the visual perception of the opposite complementary color to show that they are different but together. To make the pieces feel more solid and permanent, silk threads are sewn onto the canvas. The use of these silk threads is intended to represent the organizations, people, and fates that we encounter during these times and circumstances. The use of white and black represent different people and different situations, and it is intended that all of these things are intertwined together in a big storm.
