About the serie

To seek freedom is to reckon with the cost of departure. Breaking from injustice also means leaving behind loved ones and the futures once imagined. In this shift, life moves from thriving to surviving, carried only by revolutionary hope. Yet, time reveals an uncomfortable truth: power often outlives fairness. Survival becomes the only geography. Like water, life adapts to whatever space allows, but resilience is limited not just by will, but by uneven privilege. As faith thins and the waiting grows heavy, a haunting question remains: is surviving enough amid such uncertainty? How do we reclaim the right to truly live? Living and surviving are not always linear; they coexist in an imperfect entanglement of gratitude and persistence. There are no perfect answers, only the unfolding of life as a process, not a destination. Even in loss, choosing to remain becomes an act of freedom. This artwork translates the artist’s lived journey of seeking liberty. Using floral symbols gathered throughout his life, he weaves a story of loss and resilience, pain and beauty, surviving and living, reflecting the shared struggle of the self and others.
