About the serie
Whatever art zine is an art zine that was started in 2023 and is still ongoing. Volume 1 and Volume 2 are currently available and are being shared on the Facebook page named “လိုက်ပါ” meaning “Follow” in english. Volume 1 contains Chapters 1 to 10. Volume 2 is also created in the same way. The pictures and letters in Whatever art zine are a record of ErYi’s daily life as an artist in the current conditions of Myanmar. ErYi’s struggles, survival troubles, and madness as an artist, a human being, a youth, and a citizen are revealed through pictures and letters. The newly created “WHATEVER” Volume 3 will no longer contain chapters. From the beginning of Volume 1 in 2023 to the end of 2024, the Artist’s environment has become quieter. The burning has become louder. What will happen in 2025? ErYi is still alive with hope and anxiety. “WHATEVER” Volume 3 will reveal ErYi’s story of trying her best to survive.

I’m Er Yi (born 2002). Nyan Lin Oo is the name given by my father. Born and raised in Htan Taw Gyi, Yinmarbin Township, Yinmarbin District, Sagaing Region. Came into the world on 7th July, 2002. Studied at Htan Taw Gyi High School until Grade-8. After my high school graduation, I continue my studies at Yangon University, specializing in Law. But now I dropped out of the school and making art as my professional career. Since I’m fourteen, I drew as a hobby, and now it’s been years but I keep doing these things passionately.
